When you arrive, we thoroughly cleanse the skin and precisely assess the blemish. The treatment itself takes only a few seconds per lesion. You will feel a brief, warm pinch or a quick cooling sensation, but it is highly tolerable and requires no local anaesthetic. Here is exactly what happens after your treatment:
Immediately Post-Treatment: The treated area will look flushed, slightly darker, or resemble a tiny heat bump or minor sting. This settles down within a few hours.

Clean Skin: Arrive at the clinic with clean skin, free from heavy makeup, fake tan, or rich oils in the target area.
Sun Protection: Avoid active sun exposure or sunbeds for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
Health Check: Ensure the area is free from active bacterial infections, open wounds, or severe active eczema flares.
Post-Treatment Aftercare
Keep it Dry: Keep the treated area dry and clean for the first 24 hours.
Hands Off: Strictly do not pick, scratch, or force the crust to fall off early, as this can cause scarring or hyperpigmentation
Sun Block: Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily to the healing area to protect the new skin from UV damage
Skip Active Skincare: Avoid retinol, acids (AHA/BHA), or physical scrubs on the treated area for 7 days.

That is completely normal! We provide a thorough skin analysis at the very beginning of your appointment to identify exactly what the blemish is (milia, skin tag, wart, etc.) and determine the absolute safest, most effective method to remove it.

No, there is absolutely no need to book separate appointments if you have a mix of different spots. If you need a combination of skin tag removal, milia extraction, cherry angioma treatment, or similar blemishes cleared, you can simply book a single treatment session. When scheduling, just use the booking notes to mention the different types of blemishes you have, and I will meticulously work through everything in one go. In most cases, a small mix of common skin lesions can be beautifully cleared within a single 15-minute advanced electrolysis session at our Dublin clinic.

We only treat completely benign (non-cancerous) cosmetic surface blemishes. If a blemish or mole looks irregular, has asymmetrical borders, varies in colour, or is changing size, we cannot treat it. In those cases, we will always advise you to see a GP or dermatologist for a formal assessment and medical diagnosis first. Safety is our absolute priority.
